question about my speaker set-up

So i'm trying to make myself a makeshift surround sound setup for the pc i just built and i was wondering if i have a pair of speakers hooked up to the pc via aux cord, can i also buy a wireless speaker to put behind me. I don't see why not, but i don't want to waste any more time on this thing, and the office depot employee didn't have any idea.

I say if you're going to buy something just buy a real surround system. As long as your sound card supports it.
