possiable hard drive failure

How do i find out if my hard is about to go bad?
I ran the diagnostics check that came with my computer and everything passed but the hard drive

well you can download the hard drive diaganostic sfotware provided by the manufactor ie:seagate,hitatchi,western digital and etc and see if it passes their test. But if you heat the hard drive maken all types of loud noise most likely its done for. hope this helps

If it makes a clicking noise, if it comes unresponsive at times, if you cant read off it anymore, if you cant see it, if SMART gives you an error, etc. Backup ASAP.
