Hi,
I am trying to configured a computer running asp.net using iis to connect to a remote oracle db 9.2.
The computer that runs the asp .net pages is windows 200 pro.
The computer that runs the oracle db 9.2 is on a windows xp home machine.
When I turn off the windows firewall that came with sp2 it connects fine. HoweverI do not like keeping the firewall down.
I tried added port 1521 in the exceptions but it did not work. On the asp .net machine uses 1521 to make the connection.
Is there anyway to keep my firewall up but somehow allow the client to connect to the oracle db?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
