Hi,
Im about to start on a complete fresh build of a PC. I've built and stripped before but never a full build from scratch. I've got a spec together for what i'd like and priced it all up. My budget is approximately £250. (Limited but old PC has had it so no notice)
I have the following already that i won't be replacing (yet anyway)
- HDD
- 2 X DVDRW
- Graphics card
I want to build the following:
Asus M4A87TD EVO Mobo £55
AMD Phenom 980 x4 processor £130
EZCool H-60B case £38
Corsair 4GB (2x2) XMS3 RAM £22
(Prices quoted are based on findings so far)
In the future i'll add and upgrade further but for now i just want a decent basic system that has some future proof core components.
From a gaming perspective i want to keep up with the market etc though i don't play all the time. (I seem to go through fazes). It also needs to be functional for work and the work i do is very resource intensive.
(Im currently running a 3ghz Pentium D which could be better.)
What do people think of this? am i missing anything?
