I'm Trying to Network my Desktop using windows 7 Pro and my Laptop running Linux mint 15. I got Samba up and running and i can acces folders from laptop just not put files in them. can anyone help?

Which is sharing the samba drives? The 7 desktop or Mint laptop?
On Windows 7 you'll have to disable password protected sharing I beleive.
If they're on Linux it's much easier.. Just chmod 777 any folder you want to have rwx access
