Looking to upgrade my storage devices, just feel like i coulda put more effort and $$$ into building a better storage system. Right now i have a Samsung 64gb for booting my OS and some programs & apps, than have x2 1tb Seagate barricudas 7200rpm for games, media, etc files. Eh, its alright but with how much money i spent into this rig im not that satisfied lol.(well no crap, lol didnt really put much effort into researching for a good SSD or HDD jsut kinda went and bought whatever i saw.)
As of right now looking into buying -
Intel 510 SSD 250gb
WD Velociraptor 600GB
Wanted to use the Intel SSD for Gaming & programs that can really benefit from the SSD random access speeds, and than use the WD velociraptor for files such as music, pictures, and other programs that i used occasionally. Also im still looking into buying another SSD for booting my OS, or is samsung's SSD just as good as any other out there? (btw its a Samsung 470 series SSD 64gb)
One more note, i know Raiding my SSD or HDD would be even faster but just wanted to see with just single storage devices how it would do.
Right now not too worried about budget but of course saving a few bucks here and there is always good
Thanks again!
