Yes, Core Image and Video work on Macbooks. I think one example of Core Image and Video is the ripple effect in the Dashboard. (I could be wrong though, :confused: )

All computers Apple will sell you right now support these features, and they all come with Tiger.

Just to warn you, in its default configuration, the Macbook has both of its RAM slots filled with 256 MB pieces. In other words, to install the 512, you're going to have to remove a 256, leaving you with a total of 768, not 1 GB.
