Hi all, i have been given this block of ip address to use in designing a network infrastructure but not sure were to classify it.
235.85.105.64/27 - 235.85.105.128/27. Im guessing it is a subnet address since three bits have been borrowed from the host field. could it be an IP multicast?

secondly, how would say 235.85.105.64 be subnetted for instance?

any responses highly appreciated. thanks in advance

Yes..This is multicast IP range (224.0.0.0 - 239.255.255.255).

However looks like they are 2 different networks, better check again with your ISP whether it's correct..

235.85.105.64/27
Network address: 235.85.105.64
Hosts: 235.85.105.65 - 235.85.105.94
braodcast: 235.85.105.95

235.85.105.128/27
Network address: 235.85.105.128
Hosts: 235.85.105.129 - 235.85.105.158
braodcast: 235.85.105.159
