Help with vista serial.

I personally think that maybe people should make some records for themself and not rely on others to do it for them. So what if the old stickers lasted for ever. So what if the new ones dont. Why are people leaving such a thing like your serial or license to a sticker in the first place?

I have every serial of mine written down and on a text file that only i can access. That way no matter what i can access any serial from any program at any time i need it. Seems kinda silly to think that a sticker would last forever and hold the main part to my operation of my PC.

Contact Microsoft. See what they can do to help and verify what you need to do.

I just write all my serial numbers down somewhere else. I have a perfect example of how crappy these stickers have gotten. My old computer came with xp and I upgraded to vista and then 7 so there's 3 stickers. The only one that isn't showing signs of fading away is xp.
