Hearing strange short high pitched noise every 10 mins or so

So I started hearing this strange short high pitched noise every 5-10 mins or so and it seems impossible to locate ( my best guess is that it sounds like its coming under my bed but theres no electronics there so I doubt it ). The sound lasts less then 1-2 seconds so its really hard to locate. It started like 4-5 days after I got my new speakers and was thinking it might be some kind of electrical intereference of some sorts. Though I unplugged my speakers from the wall and the sound still occured regularly, does this mean I ruled out my speakers?

Oh and there really is a sound since I got one of my friends to also hear the same thing, and I'm not just going crazy.

it's either mass histeria (since your friend hears it to), or... i don't know - it could be everything really. maybe you got a short curcit somewhere?

It could be coming through your air ducts. Like maybe a squeaky fan in the furnace or something.
