Just an update on things:
My computer sounds like a high revving dirt bike so I am taking the fan out.
I'll probably just buy another fan they aren't too expensive.
However I do have a little more bad luck but mostly for my dad. Our cats jumped up onto the top part o my dad's office desk and knocked our big heavy printer down onto the lower part of the desk smashing off the paper loading tray and the back panel door and leaving the rest of it dangling by a wire. I didn't see the incident happen but I can tell how by looking at the mess. The printer fell onto my dads computer tower putting a big dent in the top of that and knocking off the covers for the empty drive bays. The computer still runs though.
