harddisc active volume

i have by mistake made my c drive as active. Then after i restarted my laptop i realised my mistake. It was showing 'BOOTMGR is missing '.

I took my hard disk and attached it to another laptop and the i made it as inactive. Now it is showing ' operating system is missing.

Someone please tell me how to rectify the mistake.

Have you tried accessing your motherboard? Depending on motherboard you can press the F12 button to access bios and manually change what boot device to go off and choose cd then throw in your windows repair cd reboot. Let me know
