Grad video- Whats best to use?

Hi,
I'm going to make a 15 minute video for my son's graduation party. The video will include pictures, text, some video and music. I'm very familiar with power point and know that I could use that program, but is there something out there that works better?

I would want this set up to simply keep looping back continuously during the open house.

I'd appreciate any and all comments.

Either Windows movie maker (it comes with XP)
Or if you want a better solution you can get a Ulead video editor.

When your done with the project export it to a DVD or just a WMV and loop the playback.
