I just built my first External Hard Drive =)
But since it was my first, i had so many questions about hte spots i could touch and couldn't.
Its being partitioned right now
btw its a 250 gb seagate barracuda, in a Kingwin ext. enc. all together 145 bux total
Anyways My question is I touched the male part of the 40 pin connector and also some of the jumpers (both) on the hdd itself. will that matter?
I only ask because I know when I install RAM, i never touch the 'teeth' b/c of oil contamination... Does it apply to hdd pins too? If so, is there a way to clean the male part of the hdd and the female data cable?
Thnx so much, glad to join this forum !
