Ok, this is starting to drive me insane.
I have recently moved house, and I connect wirelessly to the internet. I do not have access to the router so do not even know what kind it is.
I want to be able to transfer files to my xbox, which is set up to do that. I have connected the xbox to pc's NIC via a cross over cable. It registers the connection, and now here is where the problem is.
When I turn the xbox on, it connects to the network, no problem there, however I lose my internet access for some reason through the wireless card, does anyone have any suggestions?
EDIT:Ok that will teach me, it turns out it was a problem with conflicting ips, so that when I switched on the xbox it formed the network but conflicted with the internet connection by changing the IP address it resolves the issue.
