A while back i bought a budget pc, and ive been upgrading ever since to build a gaming Pc.

First Gfx card i put in was a ATI 9250 128mb

I want to upgrade again to a 9550 256mb.

Do i remove the 9250.. switch to onbaord, boot up, load drivers, shutdown, Add new card, load up etc etc.

Or do i just change over cards, boot up using new card and then install new drivers ?

I would recommend a different card as that was is quite out dated. You can find a 6600GT for under 130$ and that would be a heap better. To install it, uninstall the drivers, shut down, take card out, put new one in, boot up, and install new drivers.

What are your system specs, as the 9 series is 2 generations out of date.

You could just do a straight swap over, as they are both ATI, and not really a huge jump. But anyway I would just uninstall the drivers in Windows, shutdown and put the enw card in.
