Can't get on to EVE Online

Just bought EVE Online the other day and after downloading the patch at work and installing it I tried to log in. It gives me the error message:
"Unable to Connect to 87.237.38.200 on port 26000"

I doubt this is because of downtime as the same thing happened last night around 8pm and tonight about midnight. I'd post in the official EVE forums but of course you've gotta have a character made and I can't log in to make one

Please Eve players help me out, maybe it's just a simple fix. I'm not having any problems playing WoW or surfing the net. I am using Norton Internet Security and a Linksys wrt54g router.

weird...i play this game but never had that problems. did u reinstall? it usually patches itself when u log in...u should contact CCP directly from their site. or mb the ur router issue. mb u have to open a port or something...dunno. sorry cant really help u..
