Calling for the advice from electricians and at-home DIY'ers...

Well, new question. We re-did the sockets in the living room by replacing them with updated 3 prong panels that were a different color as well. Only question is I have one port connected to a light switch and flip the switch, it turns off. Hit again, turns on. It makes it convenient since we have no ceiling lighting.

So I replaced the outlets with comparable outlets. Only thing is, now all of the sudden the switch does nothing. Do I have to get sockets that support this type of behavior? All I did was hook up the new one based on the way the original was wired that I was removing.

Anyway, any ideas> Thanks!
