R Remeniz Fully Optimized Messages 3,390 Location England Oct 24, 2010 #12 i have two 4870's at the moment how does this compare to 1 5970? my 4870s are radeon hd 4870 512mb. seeing as two of the5970's run me out of money quickly is there an alternative that is cheaper that produces a close comparison? or is one of the 5970's enough? Click to expand... Seriously one HD5970 owns 2 X HD4870's all day every day, period. or should i throw my money away and buy this baby instead? GOD Click to expand... lol. It's excessive but I guess it's about pure own'age with that card. Not for me though.

R Remeniz Fully Optimized Messages 3,390 Location England Oct 24, 2010 #14 At low resolutions 2 GTX 460's might keep up with a HD 5970 but most times, with a lot of games the HD5970 will eat it, sorry, them. Start to increase the resolutions and the HD5970 starts to shine.
