So since im trying to be cost effective i figurd id buy the 8600 because it seems like its not that far below the 8800, however everyone is telling me the 8600 is crap. Ive been thinking well maybe I should get the 8800, and then I can play Crysis at that point even though thats not what my aim was for getting a computer that would still be pretty awesome to say I had a computer that could play crysis on midrange settings.
Honestly I never thought it could happen given my price range $500-$800 but I am surprised looking at some of the deals you can get at newegg.com...
umm anyways what im wondering now is why no 1 recommends or likes the 8600 series... it is like $100+ less then the 8800 which is why i was interesed in it and i know 8600 supports most games... so what makes it so that its no 1s choice around here? is it because the 8800 is the new thing and theres no reason to buy something that is somewhat "outdated" ?
