But then again I wouldn't dare buy a pro version of any card. It's always better to get the xt versions if possible especially if you care for gaming.

There is one exception to the fact that "Pro" ATI cards are bad. Look at how great the 9800 Pro was in its time. I remember when you were envied to have a 9800 Pro like today you are envied to have a 6800 GT.

the 6xxx series was in development 2 years ago. Right now they are developing the card that will be released in 2007, they like to keep roughly two years ahead.
