But after he is convinced to get a pair of studio monitors, and is blown away by them, now the first thing he suggested were studio monitors and he pretty much insulted the OP after he bought some inexpensive creative speakers. some people buy speakers on looks alone
also, you never suggested higher end equipment to anybody (except for the sound card). You just put down everybody who didn't have what you have.
I just never considered using studio monitors because I had my computer hooked up to my paradigm's (home audio system). I knew that all computer speakers were inferior (mostly due to plastic enclosures, which will cause all kind of resonance problems). do some past checking my posts and read how I use to tell people to set their eq's to deal with some of the resonance problems

they all had studio monitors hooked up to their computer. I also wanted something better because I moved my computer out of the living room. I use to have it in the basement running my vandersteen and my Yamaha sub. I also remember crysalis talking about them. I don't remember you ever talking about them. I only remember your snide put downs
