How do I get a new browser to open when I click a link in an e-mail with firefox instead of using a current open browser to go to the link I clicked in the e-mail?

I've flashed the BIOS now and am still getting the same blasted blank black screen. I've disable POST with no different results. Any ideas here would be greatly appreciated.
