Its a 20GB 7200 Maxtor Drive.The XP Pro installation works when I use the other 2 ( Emachine motherboards ) mobos. Could it be that the motherboard just fu@#*@ sucks?

Nah that didn't sound stupid at all :) I've tried every possible combination of bootable media ( HD , CD ,A: ; CD , HD , A ; etc; .. im sure that isn't the problem ). About the hard drive boot sector..if it were damaged ( im using the HD now :) , I dont think it'll work with any motherboard...

Well before I did anything , I upgrade the BIOS with the latest update from SOYO and all went well.I then installed XP over the old and everything went ok.I got to the end where XP restarts the PC , I let it restart.Then the mobo detected all the parts well , where then I got to the DMI ...

Dont know if the Divx Player will install extra codecs or just decompresses through the player , but it'd be better to download just the codecs.And when installed , just open up your file with Windows Media Player and there you go. BTW , what is a video codec question doing in " General Gaming...
