video card trouble

Alright I already have a S3 Prosavage DDR video card in there, but I want to install a GeForce 2. The ProSavage is built into the motherboard, so I am afraid to mess with it. I plugged the GeForce in, and I downloaded the drivers, but when I plug the monitor into the card, I get a black screen. I looked up the adapters in the display settings, and the GeForce didnt even show up. Do any of you guys know how to fix this?

Many mobos have a setting, either to disable your onboard VGA, or to chose either onboard VGA or AGP video card (providing you have an AGP port).
