Wireless HDMI/Google Chromecast

Hi,

I am looking at buying some form of wireless device that can stream a mirror image of my laptop to my TV.

The TV isnt a smart TV and doesnt have a USB port, just a scart and HDMI. I have heard that ChromeCast is good but not heard anyone say it can stream a mirror image of a laptop onto the TV as such.

I want it so that I plug something into my TV and then I can just see an exact mirror of the laptop so that I can watch SkyGo or other online TV streaming sites directly on the TV.

Any suggestions to look at?

You can cast a tab through Chrome's browser to your TV. Or if the site implements the Chromecast API in their video player, a Cast icon will show up on the video overlay and then you can cast the video directly to the Chromecast instead of the whole tab.

The Chromecast beta for Chrome allows you to cast the entire screen. Though it isn't 100% stable yet.
