Hey all I've been trying to connect a windows 2000 (host) to a Windows XP (client) with a crossover cable. When I first connect the cable both computers recognize it but niether will recieve packets from eachother even though they are both sending them.

It eventually tells you to right click on your "Internet Connection" and hit properties. i do this and it tells you to make sure you have all the proper components etc. installed in that little window. Mine are. Then it tells you to go to the sharing tab abd check something off. The problem is for some reason my Windows 2000 computer does not have that sharing tab.
Does anyone know whats wrong?
