Ok that's cool, then, because I'm building a new computer, and now I don't have to spend more money on a monitor, right away. I'll just hook it up to my tv for now. But how would I know which video card to get, to make sure it works with my tv?

Well, if you hook it up thru your dvd player like you said, then just make sure the video card has the A/V hookups. If you hook it up thru an RF modulator, see if the video card you are getting has S-Video (its round and kinda looks like a hook-up that goes to a mouse or keyboard) or if it has A/V, but overall, any video card will work if they have either S-Video or A/V connectors.
