Xbox 360 and RROD?

The three year warranty MS offers only covers the RROD. If your xbox dies of any other problem outside of a year....you'll have to pay up to get it fixed. Pretty shabby if you ask me.

soo.. i jut got my xbox 360 and I am also worried about RRoD. I was wondering if the main cause of an RROD was overheating and if so do any of you guys have those additional coolers you can buy at wal-mart for like $20and if so do they work?

You got a refurb, right? I would say the extra fans are unnecessary. If it is going to RRoD, it will regardless of the extra fans. As long as it craps out within your warranty period you got, you will be fine. Although, depending on the refurb you got, it could be a falcon board which is MUCH less likely to RRoD and may never die on you.
