I have 1000's of song on my computer and have a newer home stereo amp/tuner and want to wire my computer to it. is there a computer port to RCA cable I can get or something??

assuming you have a normal onboard audio setup...then just use a "y-cable"....basically a headphone jack on one end and red/white RCA plugs on the other end. You can find one at any radio shack or online

1/8th to rca you can buy them at radio shack or if you have a 5.1 setup then buy a logitech gaming adapter which is 5.1 to rca and costs like 5 bucks

okay now I have just the onboard sound setup, and my one usable sound jack is occupied by my speakers ( they are just one line output) do I use a headphone splitter or is there another jack on the MB I can use

as long as you use quality components, you shouldn't see a degredation in audio quality. however, if you're really concerned about SQ, you should ditch the on-board sound......
