WinRAR Updated to Version 3.91, Adds tar.bz2 Support

If you still use WinRAR, you might be interested to hear that RARLAB just released the latest version, 3.91. New items include the ability to unpack 7-zip archives with the LZMA2 algorithm and opening tar.bz2 archives. Version notes are here.

i'm sticking with 7zip. is winrar free? any advantages over 7zip?

It's not but there is a free trial version. It's pretty shocking that it was missing bzip2 compatibility before though...

which has better compression .7z or bzip2?

i read an article about 6 months ago saying bzip2 was the best. I don't know if they compared 7zip though.
