17" LCDs look much better on 1024x768 than 19" ones do. It actually looks playable, unlike on 19" ones where it takes today's beautiful graphics and makes them look like early PS2 games. If I had to redo it, I would have gotten a 17", for one its cheaper, and 2, I would much rather play on 1024x768 than be forced to play at 1280x1024.
