Use Wireless Access Point as Wifi device

Hi,

I have a PC at home that has no internet connectivity. I have found an open network within range in my area with my HTC Diamond. Since I have a Gigabyte Wireless Access Point (GN - AP01G) I was wondering whether I could use this as a Wifi modem of sorts? I would ideally connect it directly to the ethernet port on my PC & then somehow connect to this wireless network...

Am I having pipe dreams or is this a feasible way to connect to the internet? I've tried using my Diamond but there is a stupid limitation on the internet sharing app that only allows you to share the Internet Connection when using the 3G radio (which is more expensive)

Please help if you can!!!

We can't help. As per that topic it states that connecting to a WiFi signal that is not yours and not a public hot spot we will not be of any assistance.
