I did reset it, that's how the IP got that way. But the password still isn't accepted =(. I did see something that said "You have to change the password to access the web setup", but when I changed it, neither admin or my new password worked.
I think the setup on the internet and the one that comes with the disc are similar, as I managed to get the packets coming both in and out when I made the channels and SSID the same, as well as being able to do everything else you said. The problems were:
1. I still couldn't connect to websites.
2. I still couldn't enter the WAP config.
I also noticed that when I tried to update my AVG, it said "could not ... name". I couldn't remember exactly what it said, but I'm almost certain it concerned DNS.
