im trying to play Diablo 2 LoD with my friend through a TCP/IP game but when he puts my ip address in it wont let him join, but i can join his games.
anybody got any ideas?

Firewall, disable it or open the necessary ports for D2. This hapenned to me at a LAN when I forgot to open the ports. I could join other's games but they could not join mine.

if you are on a router configure your DMZ host.

I have a SpeedTouch 530 Modem

is the IP adress my friend should type in the one i would get from, Start > Run > ipconfig,
or the one i get from a site like WhatIsMyIP.com?

ya go start>run>cmd

type in ipconfig in the command prompt and where it says "ip address" is will say somthing like 192.654.1.104.

THAT is your ip address for YOUR computer.

now i dont have any experiance with your router so look in your manual, go to the setup and configure your "DMZ" host to YOUR IP ADDRESS.

the modem came from my ISP and only had an installation CD with it.
My ip adress comes up as 10.0.0.1 or sumin like that, is that right?
