speakers problem

got a pair of really cheap desktop speakers, it produces an audible hum when powered on even if the volume is all the way off

so annoying..

is there a way to fix it by myself?

That humming noise is usually caused by electrical interference of sorts.

You could try 1 of 2 things:

1) Get new speakers.
2) Get a Ground Loop Isolator.

checked out that ground loop isolator and i see two RCA jacks,
the speaker here dont use that, it plugs directly to the audio out on the cpu's back plate

try better speaker. for the price of everything that you need to convert that isolater to 1/8, you could get better speakers

logitech 2.1's are really cheap now, infact even the x530's are aswell(5.1)
