Greetings list; have a situation i'm not sure how to solve.

If it matters, winxp laptop system.

I have my wireless adapter connected to wireless ap "x". All is well. Internet works.

I plug my hard wired cat 5 connection in (which goes to a router that connects 4 pc's together, but that router does not have internet access.)

Problem is, when I plug in the lan cable, the wireless connection quits.

I tried assigning a manual metric of 10 to the wireless network interface and a metric of 20 to the hard wired lan, but the problem persists.

Both connections work the way they are supposed to independently, I just cant get them to work concurrently.

Any suggestions on how I can get the wireless to maintain its connection to network "x" and get my internal lan via hardwire at the same time? Can't seem to hash this out for some reason.

Thanks list!
