re-opening Firefox doesnt bring back open tabs

When I closed FF and re-opened it the 5 tabs I had open didnt come back, I started from scratch. I've tried it a couple times since and this keeps happening!

Under Options I have indeed selected "Open tabs from last time" so that's not the problem.

In case its relevant I'm using FF 15 and Windows 7

Make sure that your browsing history is NOT being deleted. This is under the privacy setting in FF IIRC, and also running something like CCleaner, or some security or computer cleaning programs delete history.

It's set to Remember History.

In version 16.0.1 Firefox remembers my last open tabs/history and displays them on the web page in a tiled layout. It also does this when I open up a new tab before I press home or type in a URL.

it is as far as i know. im on the same version.

also the last time i opened FF it seemed to remember the tabs. so this is sporadic. what could be the cause?
