Ps4 Controller not being reconised as a controller

Hmm, I'll have to look into this. My dongle is supposed to be backwards compatible.

what version do you have
it doesn't matter
the 4.0 was backwards compatible but for some reason it didn't work and I read how others dealt with the same issue
Maybe it was because I'm on win 8

I'll send the link of the adapter I use now

Btw are you using a ps3 or 4 controller?

That is the second one I bought. Don't remember what the first one was.

I have tried ds3 and ds4 using the ds3/4 tool. Didn't make a difference. Had problems with both. Also, how far away were you? This still needs to work good 10 ft away. The ones I have say 30 ft, so I assume range shouldn't be the issue.

I think I was about 10 feet away.

All Bluetooth adapters have a range of around 30 feet.

It was really complicated to get bt to finally work.

Didn't work at all
Worked perfectly with the 2.1bt adapter.
Bit this was on the ps3 controller.
I'll test the ps4 tonight if I have time

Just bought a wireless 360 controller for windows. Doesn't feel quite as well in the hand, but the hassle isn't worth it.
