Ps2 Network with my Laptop

Hello i just purchased the slim ps2. I was wondering, because my room is far from my wireless router. Is there a way I can connect my ps2 into my wireless laptop because i tried and the ps2 would not read my connection or could not connect. Please help me.

No, i assume you mean connect your laptop wirelessly and use the ethernet port to connect your PS2 To the web....

you need to connect the the ethernet DIRECTLY to your router
