Hello...I need help choosing a power supply for a new system I intend to build.
A few of the parts like video card (geforce 7900gt 256mb) etc. say they require at least 450w-500w of power. But I don't think my system is that high end, like its only gonna be an $850 budget system...but it will be fast. As well, I read in the sticky at the top on PSU's that most systems don't need the required PSU wattage...like I would be fine with 450w instead of 500w.
Can someone explain this, and add any tips/comments?
I don't want to spend a fortune on a PSU....but I want a reliable one...
would this one be good?
