Re: Today I have...

First world problems, no fiber optic to the home. lawl
Haven't gone to sleep, ran into issues with WSUS and teaming on my network last night, strange I am setting things up this way, but it's the only way to conserve bandwidth.

But I only have 2mbit at the moment. Thats 3rd world speeds!

Re: Today I have...

A Intel HD 3000/4000 is way more than enough power for school or even light gaming, I've got a HD 3000 in my laptop and I've never needed anything more powerful. As far as battery life is concerned the Intel igp's are unbeatable, my x220 is rated for 14 hours of battery life on the 9 cell and 24 hours with the optional slice battery and that with a 35w Core i5 not a ULV or Atom cpu.

Yami, what model is that laptop?

It's a custom one from this site

Love it since I can choose not to have Windows come with it which actually saves a decent amount. And the screen, too.

Re: Today I have...

You're forgetting that I have a desktop for any serious gaming. At most I'm likely to play Minecraft, and even then it won't be that often.
Not forgetting anything, I was simply making a comment to your comment about games on the 630 :p

Oh hush it. At least you aren't paying for that and it IS a land line form of internet. The WDSL (point to point broadband) I was paying for gave me this at pretty much any given amount of time.

I was paying 65 a month for a supposed up to 5Mb and getting less than 1. You can still game easily on 2Mb land line because pings are way lower.:CerealGuy:

What?! When I were a lad, all we had was 2600 baud, and had to walk ten miles to school, uphill both ways!

Re: Today I have...

I was too busy gaming on my dads PC when we lived in the city. In 99 we moved out to Venus and none of us had any form of internet until my dad got Netzero in 2002. That is when I learned networking and all kinds of stuff. I went online and discovered the wonders of wireless cards ;)

Just because yours is ****ter doesn't mean I should be happy. There is always someone worse off. My broadband is about 1/4 of the UK average, and 1/60th of what they have access to a mile up the road. 360p on youtube has to buffer a lot of the time, HD ... lawl. Like funny GIF sites ? thats a ****ing slow process on 2mb. Page of gifs takes many minutes to load.

Game.. yes I can game. You can play most MP games on 256K, besides, I play very few MP games any more so that isn't much of a concern.

And for the record, that's triple my upload speed. And yes I do care about upload speed. I upload quite a lot of photos, work, and videos.

We have a ladyboy in the house, eek.

2Mbit...

Try having 1.5Mbps, with a ~500MB/Day cap for damn near $100.

Thats what you get for living in the middle of nowhere, so that is your own doing :p I live in a large town a few minutes drive from a big city. No excuse for my internet, which is proven by every damn town surrounding me having mega speeds.
