when norton antivirus is COMPLETELY updated, it gives an option to disable windows security center and let norton monitor itself.

We're talking about two computers here. Mine has norton completely uninstalled, his does not. I went into my computer to try and find the option to turn off norton so I can take a screen shot and send it to him so he knows what to do, HOWEVER since my computer doesn't have norton, I'm at a loss for helping him first hand with disabling it. Which is why I'm here...

So wait, someone said just turn off windows virus scanner? I thought norton, despite the fact that windows has its own firewall, that norton was somehow a firewall as well (hence the reason it was limiting what sites are accessible)...

But, just disable windows virus scanner, and BAM..... done? He doesn't care about uninstalling it, just wants to get the internet to work right.
