Need some help

Does any one know if I can hook up a set of speakers through 1 input and a second set through a second input then have sasy windows media play through 1 channel only and only windows media. I have a tv hooked up to my computer so the idea is when my wife is using the computer and using the speaker (for music or chatting etc) I can watch something else through tv with audio. i konw little about computers but can get around them reasonably well. any help will be appriciated.
