Need A Program To Create DVD's

I have some .avi clips that I would like to put on a DVD that would be playable in a standard television DVD player.

I would prefer freeware, however, I am also open to non-free suggestions if they are significantly better than any freeware options.

Any ideas?

I would suggest a freeware program called DVD Flick....it works well for me
