i bought the first one Metro 2033 Redux, it has had a major graphic overhaul and i liked the story in it better than the second one... BUTT its shows its age gameplay wise and in animations as well. Its still hella fun and runs fairly smooth, but you take for granted how far FPS have come. I would still recommend them to anyone who hasnt played them.

i did them on my first runthrough but I believe you can finish the story mode and than go back and knock out those chievo's

This. After the main story's missions are finished, you can go back to where you were in the game and continue just as before.
