You can download iso files at www.linuxiso.org.

You might want to take a quick look in the Linux subforum. There is a distro recommendation thread.

Thanks a million! But i'm on dial up..... i'll just have one of my buddies download it and put it on a disc.

What about professional audio programs?
If a legal program has been put out that is used for conversions, Windows can't really hold domain over its functionality. If they do, they're violating the software and that company can sue Microsoft.

Why?

I'm not gonna trust some unknown sanders. I did not hear this from Microsoft, I did not hear this from Thurrot (no matter how much I hate him), I did not hear this from Intel, I did not hear this from MSDN. I refuse to believe what an unknown auther says.

This article uses words such as "crap" and "roayally screwed" I do not think it is professional or valid. I think it's safe to regard this article as BS.

You know, back when XP first hit the market, and right before, everyone was up-in-arms about the new product activation policies regarding installation and hardware changes. Everyone was shouting "This is the end of Microsoft!" and "No one will buy it, then!" and blah blah blah...

and then cracks/keygens came along, all order restored..

Then along comes SP1 and SP2 and SP3 to fix them cracks, but new cracks will be found and exploited till a new version of windows comes out.

huh? who said old cracks doesn't work anymore?

I can't help myself what ignorance. Why get a fake skin that modifies system files!?!? Fake skins require apps to run them bogging down the system. Stick to the normal XP or Legacy/Classic skin so your machine isn't so slow.
