I really see this card being above the HD 5770 and matching the HD 5830.

Yeah that sounds about right - basically it's Nvidia's 5830 with all of the same drawbacks as the original.

352 SPs? That's a slightly odd number. I dont see how it can match a 5870 in anything with only 352 SPs?

This is Far Cry 2 we're talking about. "optimised" for Nvidia GPU's and Intel CPU's.
