LAN and Router problem

Ok i know i screwed something up here and i cant seems to figure it out so i need some help. I have a LAN connection the cat5e cable is connected to my box from the modem. NOw i then tried today to make LAN network with another pc i have in this room. Didnt work. I Connected the internet cable to my router and i have 2 calbe connected both of them. It sees there a LAN connection ans its working but it will not connect nor will it make a bridge or small LAN network and i dont know what esle to try.

did u try restarting everything? unplug everything. start up the modem, plug it into the router. start up the router, plug it into the comps, start up the comps. do it in that order and it SHOULD work
