I just bought a Klipsch GMX D-5.1 speaker set, it comes with 5 tweeters and one subwoofer.
I have been trying connect to my Dell P4 2.6GHz desktop through Digital Coax input and it's not working.
My Dell has a on-board soundcard.
The speaker set works only when I use Analog input and connect it to headphone out on my Dell.
On the instruction of the Klipsh, it says this:
Please contact Klipsch technical support if you are using a soundcard other than SoundBlaster
I believe my Dell on-board soundcard is a very basic one, it may not work with my speaker set if I connectivity is Digital Coax?
Do I need to upgrade my soundcard? Thanks.
